GETTING TO KNOW

YES OR NO, STUCK IN THE MUDD,
I liked these exercises because they were light, fast paced and energised. They were both also laying ground work relationships in the group, I personally didn't know that many people in the group so I apreciated these exercises as they allowed me to build connections, however small, with other people in the group. Yes or No built connections mentally because it opened a small window into peoples lifestlyes. Stuck in the Mudd built connections physically because its a team activity that is best when you help others, the fast paced nature of the exercise blocked out all the negative anxious thoughts that prevent you from interacting with new people.

Staurt:
I didn't know what the project entailed so I wasnt sure what to expect, Stuart cleared this up. Giving background history about the hospic like  that it was the first hospice ever made. He also explained what the project involved, I was suprised at hos fluid and organic it was. We create material depending on what the patients say, for example in past years a woman described how her husband proposed, they theatre group then recreated the scene. I've never worked in such an organic process so I felt nervous and excited. The main point I got from Stuart is that we are not performing for ourselves, like we might in a play, this is not an oppertunity to show how good we are at acting. Its a oppertunity to aid someone coming to the end of their lives  The performance should be catered to who its for, they are essentially the directors they have final say.
